Tennis Staff
Brian Miska – Head Pro: Brian has been involved with tennis in Troy for nearly 20 years, and I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge, along with my talented staff, to Beachwood. Brian is the Troy High School Boys Tennis and has been named an NHSACA Coach of the Year finalist and selected as the NFHS State & Section #4 Coach of the Year in 2025.
Rob Olmstead: Rob is the Director of Tennis at Troy Racquet Club and has been teaching tennis in Troy for over 30 years. Rob will take the lead on the adult program at Beachwood.
Ryan Edwards: Ryan is a high school teacher in Oxford by day and a tennis instructor at Troy Racquet Club by night and on weekends. He has also served as the JV tennis coach at Stoney Creek High School for five years. Ryan will lead our youth classes and be involved with both adult programs and the junior team.
Agata Szewczuk: Agata is a graduate of Troy Athens and played collegiate tennis at Grand Valley State University. She is a Tennis Instructor at Troy Racquet Club and will be involved in all aspects of our tennis program at Beachwood.
Tennis & Pickleball
Beachwood offers several different tennis groups, based on age and ability level. Please see the youth and adult pages for additional information.
Beachwood will have permanent pickleball lines on six of our courts. Please note that when the courts aren’t being used for Beachwood Tennis Lessons/Team, they are first come, first served.
Please limit your court use to one hour and be kind and courteous to others.
Tennis and Pickleball balls are available at the front desk for a nominal fee (while supplies last).
***It is important that the nets are pushed against the fence when they are not in use. Cleaning up the nets prevents breakage of our equipment.***
